This is what many so called website experts would have you believe!  We do not think this is strictly true though…

Ok, so the way we use the internet to search for things is changing and adapting.  We have new technologies available these days which allow us to search using our voices!  This is positively futuristic!  But it also means that google has adapted it’s search algorithms to include semantic search, rather than simply going by individual words.

Some websites are finding that their blog posts, articles and pages are ranking for keywords which aren’t even in the title, heading or descriptions – this shows how the semantic search is working.  Google can basically understand articles enough to establish what they are about, without focussing on simple keywords.  This means that our approach to marketing needs to adapt too, in order to work with the new Google search algorithms.
